Please note the following:

  1. Nothing (including candy, water, gifts, etc.) may be thrown from any parade unit.
  2. No demeaning displays are permitted.
  3. You, your organization, and its participants hereby release and hold harmless the Rockford Area Pride Parade Committee of all damage, theft, and personal injury that might occur as a result of any parade participant before, during, and after the parade and its accompanying events.
  4. All participants must prominently display decorations (rainbow or pride-based colors) to meet the parade purpose.
  5. While self-expression is encouraged and welcome, participants agree to a no nudity policy
  6. Parade entrants shall not perform movements or drills that impede the movement of the parade for longer than one minute.
  7. No amplified advertising is allowed, including air or vehicle horns. Hand delivered advertising is acceptable; provided it does not impede the movement of the parade
  8. Parade entries must be no higher than 12-feet, 6-inches and no wider than 12 feet.
  9. Parade entries that advertise an individual (i.e. candidates for elections), organization, group or business are welcome in the parade provided they meet the purpose of the parade. The advertising content of the entry however, cannot be the most prominent element of the display or entry.
  10. Any animals appearing as part of a parade entry must be well trained and safely controlled under parade conditions. Units with horses, dogs or other animals should provide their own sanitation helpers to follow the unit and provide clean up along the route as well as in the staging area.
  11. Cancellations must be reported no less than 14 days prior to the parade. No refunds will be made.
  12. Please note that the Parade is sponsored by a 501(c)3 organization and therefore no political endorsements will be allowed.
