Rockford Area Pride Committee calls for volunteers to assist with 2024 Parade

Rockford, IL – February 12, 2024

The Rockford Area Pride Parade Committee is gearing up for Rockford's first (official) Pride Parade, a vibrant showing of the Committee's call to Celebrate + Remember + Unite in 2024. The Committee now seeks dedicated volunteers to assist with various aspects of this inaugural event. Individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to visit for more information and to sign up.

Scheduled for June 1, 2024, with step-off at 11:00am, the Rockford Pride Parade promises to be a joyous occasion for all attendees. Volunteers are essential to ensuring the smooth operation and success of the parade, and there are numerous opportunities available for individuals to get involved.

Volunteers can sign up by submitting an application on the Rockford Area Pride Committee's website at There, visitors can also submit a parade entry, meet the Committee members, purchase merchandise to support the work of the Committee, and learn other details about the 2024 Parade.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles including:

  • First Aid Points

  • Fundraising Efforts

  • Marketing and Promotion

  • Parade Marshaling

  • Parade Tech Support

  • Safety, Security, and Peaceful Protest Coordination

  • Set Up and Take Down

  • And More!
